Attorney Debra L. Smith

Attorney Debra L. Smith, a sole practitioner, has had an office at 134 Main Street in Watertown, Massachusetts since May, 1987 or for over 24 years.   The office is located in a historic white colonial building, which was built in 1775 and renovated in 1986 and 1987.   The office provides privacy including a direct phone line and designated fax line.   

Attorney Smith has an active civil law practice.  Ms. Smith's handles adoption, prenuptial agreements, divorce, paternity, care and protection,  collections, wills and  landlord/tenant cases and other areas of law.  Attorney Smith also handles modification of divorce on issues including alimony, child support, custody and other post-divorce matters. She also acts as a Guardian at Litem on family and juvenile cases and a Court Investigator on juvenile law cases.

Paralegals

Kerry Karol  has worked for Attorney Smith as a paralegal since January 2010.  Kerry graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Sociology & received her Paralegal Certification from Suffolk University's ABA approved Paralegal Certificate Program. Kerry was inducted into the Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society, was named the Paralegal Student of the Year during the 2010 Academic Year and awarded excellence in Legal Research & Writing.

Allison Zappone began working for Attorney Smith in October 2011.  Allison graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York with a bachelor degree in criminal justice in 2006.  In 2007, Allison received her paralegal certification  from Marist College, an ABA approved program. She worked as a paralegal in family law for two years in Poughkeepsie, New York from 2008 to 2010.  Allison is currently a second year law student at New England Law/Boston.  Allison is on the Executive Board of Education Law and Policy Association at New England Law/Boston.
